Fun Run

I always forget to post pics from the annual McDonald Elementary School Turkey Trot.  Maybe because it's so close to Thanksgiving and it just seems to get really busy and then I forget.  The elementary school has a fun run every year where they make up teams of students (one from each grade 1-6) and then each grade level of kids run a race. Each member of the winning team wins a gift certificate for a turkey.  Last year Cole's team won and we used the gift card to buy prime rib for Christmas Eve.  Hee hee.  This year Cole & Bryce got to be on the same team and it was also Cole's last year getting to run.  One of Cole's good buddies won this year and Cole was excited for him.  My boys take this fun run very seriously. They change into cleats and everything (because typically there is snow and/or ice) on the ground.  There was a little snow this year.  I was just hoping they wouldn't fall.  It was fun to watch and they did super.  Cole finished 4th out of all the 5th graders and Bryce finished 2nd out of all the 1st graders.  Way to go boys.
