The boys both participated in the school Science Fair. Bryce tested whether a dog's mouth was cleaner than a human's mouth by swabbing our dog, Dakota's mouth and Jeremy's mouth to compare. He plated the bacteria and saw what grew. He found that Dakota's mouth grew different types of bacteria, but grew less bacteria than a human's mouth. The dog's mouth was cleaner. Cole got permission to swab different surfaces in the boys' bathroom at his school. He found the paper towel dispenser to be dirtier than the inside of the urinal and the soap dispenser was the cleanest surface. Gross. He concluded that kids probably aren't using soap to wash their hands. Really Gross. His classroom door handle also grew a lot of bacteria. I'm so thankful for Jeremy who helps Cole and Bryce conduct their experiments. It was fun to see their results and help them put together their display boards. Also glad we're done.
